- 1/2 cup shredded provolone cheese
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 tsp red chili flakes (adjust to heat preference)
- 1/2 cup thinly sliced pepperoni or cooked Italian sausage (optional)
- 1 tbsp olive oil, for brushing crust
- Fresh basil or oregano for garnish
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C) with a pizza stone or baking sheet inside.
- Stretch or roll dough on a floured surface into a 12-inch circle with slightly raised edges.
- Transfer dough onto parchment paper.
- Brush crust edges with olive oil.
- Evenly sprinkle mozzarella and provolone over dough, leaving edges exposed.
- Add pepperoni or sausage slices if using.
- Bake pizza on the heated stone or baking sheet for 12-15 minutes until crust is golden and cheese bubbles.
- Warm honey gently in a saucepan, stir in chili flakes, and infuse for 5 minutes without overheating.
- Remove pizza from oven and immediately drizzle hot honey over the top.
- Garnish with fresh herbs, add salt and pepper to taste, slice, and serve hot.
