Description
A classic refreshing drink blending iced black tea with lemonade, perfect for warm days.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 cups brewed black tea, cooled (preferably strong and fresh)
- 4 cups lemonade (freshly squeezed for best flavor)
- Ice cubes (as needed)
- Lemon slices (optional, for garnish)
- Fresh mint sprigs (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Brew the tea: Steep 4 teaspoons of loose black tea or 4 black tea bags in 4 cups of hot water for 5 minutes. Remove tea leaves or bags and let tea cool completely.
- Prepare the lemonade: Squeeze fresh lemons and sweeten with sugar, honey, or simple syrup to taste. Alternatively, use high-quality store-bought lemonade.
- Mix the drink: Combine equal parts cooled black tea and lemonade in a large pitcher. Stir gently to blend flavors.
- Serve chilled: Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the mixture over them. Garnish with lemon slices and mint if desired.
- Enjoy immediately for the best taste while cold and fresh.
Notes
- Use high-quality black tea for a bold flavor.
- Avoid oversteeping the tea to prevent bitterness.
- Adjust sweetness if using pre-made lemonade.
- Cool tea fully before mixing to maintain flavor concentration.
- Fresh lemon juice improves taste over powdered concentrates.
